Hi there!
I'm Megan, an outdoor photographer based in North Idaho. I've been lucky enough to call the Pacific Northwest home for most of my life, so the trees, the rain, and the moody skies are all very much a part of me. As a photographer, I'm genuinely obsessed with freezing the small, real, and beautiful moments of life - like the sweet belly laughs, the soft forehead touches, the way your kid grabs your hand out of nowhere. Those are the ones worth keeping, and the ones I would love to capture for you.
When I'm not behind the camera, I'm homeschooling my twins, chasing a good cup of coffee or tea, and happily curled up with a book and a blanket on a rainy or snowy day. I'm a creative introvert at heart - I adore the social energy of a good session, and I equally love coming home to quietly pour myself into editing your photos until they are just right. That part matters to me as much as the shoot itself.
I specialize in couple and family sessions, but I also love showing up for branding, events, maternity, newborn, or just-because shoots. Basically, if it's a season of life worth remembering for you, I want to be there for it!
The heart behind my work
I'm a big believer in slow and intentional - in life and in my work.
I don't like rushing, chasing trends or forcing anything. I want your photos to, first and foremost, feel like you. Honest light, real interactions, and images that still feel good ten years from now is what I'm going for. My sessions are meant to feel less like a photoshoot and more like a relaxed evening out with someone who just happens to have a camera.
I also just really love the place we live in. The forests, the fields, the water, the light - the PNW is endlessly beautiful, and getting to use it as a backdrop is something I'll never take for granted.
what to expect
We'll explore outside somewhere beautiful, and I'll guide you through easy, natural movement - no awkward posing (but if there is, we'll definitely laugh over it). If you have kids, they absolutely do not need to cooperate - honestly - the chaos is usually where the magic is anyway. We'll keep things low-key, laugh a lot, and let all the good moments unfold on their own.
Within about two weeks of your session, you'll receive a private link to your online gallery where you can mark your favorites and easily download all of your images.

I'm based in North Idaho and also love exploring new locations - I'm happy to travel for your session! Travel beyond 65 miles from my location does include an additional fee, but reach out and we can work out the details together.
